The other week, Harper Group were proud to attend the completion ceremony of our Robert Owen House development in Newtown. This fantastic development, delivered in partnership with Powys County Council and AECOM, with Llywodraeth Cymru / Welsh Government funding support, has created 32no. new one-bedroom apartments in the heart of Newtown to directly address the local housing needs.
These apartments have been thoughtfully designed, both aesthetically striking and very energy efficient. The installation of solar PV panels on the roof, a fabric-first approach and the use of Mechanical Ventilation and Heat Recovery Systems all mean low energy bills and minimal environmental impact.
Along with representatives from Powys Council, Harpers, local councillors and the Mayor of Newtown, we celebrated the completion of the development, looking back at the transformation of the site. It has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Powys County Council and we look forward to further partnerships that will deliver more superb homes for Powys. We also thoroughly hope that the new residents of Clos Robert Owen are very happy in their new homes!
