Community Benefits Funding Award Results

As part of our contract with Monmouthshire Housing Association for the Rockfield development, we have contributed £20,000 to be reinvested locally through the Community Benefits Fund.

Seven local community groups were nominated to receive funding. An online poll was launched, along with an in-person voting system at the Magor and Undy Community Centre, allowing locals and visitors to cast their votes for the nominations of the Community Benefits Funding.

The results have been announced by Monmouthshire Housing Association, revealing the following:
⭐ 1st place – Play Learn Thrive, Undy Primary School (awarded £2,700)
⭐ 2nd place – Rogiet Club Veterans (awarded £2,700)
⭐ 3rd place – Magor CIW School (awarded £700)
⭐ 4th place – Ready Steady Go (awarded £2,000)
⭐ 5th place – Rogiet School PTA (awarded £600)
⭐ 6th place – Magor Girl Guiding (awarded £500)
⭐ 7th place – JW School of Dance Disco Fit (awarded £300)

Full funding was provided to the 1st and 2nd place groups, whilst the remaining community groups all received partial funding.

A further £5,000 was shared between Caldicot Food Bank, Magor Rugby club and Undy Football club and Monmouthshire Housing Association is working with the local community looking to enhance the play area near the Rockfield Farm development site in conjunction with the play areas owner and local community.

Here at Harpers, we would like to extend a big thank you to Monmouthshire Housing Association for organising this fundraiser, raising awareness, and shining a spotlight on these incredible community group.

We hope that the Community Benefits Fund will make a meaningful difference in the local community of Magor and Undy.
