This year’s Construction Safety Week saw our Site Managers lead Tool Box Talks across all sites, reinforcing the vital message: “Plan. Own. Commit. All in Together.” This theme underscored the shared responsibility for a safe construction environment. We emphasised the significance of meticulous planning and individual accountability for health and safety.
A powerful reminder of the consequences of neglecting safety was shared – the story of an operative who tragically never returned home from a site in 2020, highlighting how quickly lives can change. We also acknowledged the far-reaching impact of accidents on families.
Our operatives were encouraged to commit to safe practices as outlined in their RAMS, to speak up about unsafe conditions, and to collectively ensure a safe environment for everyone. These commitments were made to themselves, their colleagues, and their loved ones.
At Harpers, safety is a fundamental value that shapes our operations as we strive for zero accidents on all projects.
