Our Hartshill development for Sir Josiah Mason Trust is coming along very well, as you can see from the recent drone photos, as we fast approach the finish line. The superstructure is complete and internals works are progressing well, with second fix ongoing, floor finishes soon to be complete and decoration starting imminently. Externals are also commencing, at least when Storms aren’t trying to blow us away! ⛈️
The Hartshill development, which will be named Meeson Apartments upon completion, is a unique project undertaken in partnership with Sir Josiah Mason Trust and Thornton-Firkin LLP. It will provide 4no. one-bedroom flats designed specifically for 18-24-year-old care-leavers.
SJMT do a fantastic job supporting care-leavers to tackle the huge change that an individual has to face when leaving the care system, and these apartments will ensure that SJMT can continue to provide that much-needed support for generations to come.
The apartments have been designed to achieve an EPC-A rating, utilising Air Source Heat Pumps and PV panels to ensure environmental impact, carbon footprint and bills all stay low. Bike storage within the flats is also provided to encourage sustainable travel options.
