On Wednesday afternoon we had the pleasure of attending the grand opening of the reinstalled skittle alley at Staunton and Corse Community Hub.
Aligned with Two Rivers Housing commitment to supporting local communities, Harpers proudly reinstalled the hub’s much loved skittle alley. Our Johnstone Close site, situated nearby the hub, is part of our collaboration with Two Rivers Housing to deliver 32 new homes to Staunton.
Wanting to create a positive impact on the community, our social value team reached out to the hub to see how we could assist or contribute. The local community expressed a strong desire to have their skittles alley reinstalled…so we made it happen.
Our dedicated Harpers team successfully reinstalled the skittles alley and also donated brand new skittles and balls leaving us with no choice but to test it out for ourselves.
During the grand opening, locals, representatives from Two Rivers Housing, and Harpers all came together for a lively game of Skittles with Harpers managing to scrape the win.
The event was also covered by BBC News Points West, helping to share this wonderful story.
We are proud to have been able to bring benefits far beyond the build to the village of Staunton and hope the skittles alley brings the local community decades of joy. ✨
