Rockin’ it at Rockfield

Here at Harper HQ, we’ve had an exciting few weeks at our project down in Undy, with the site’s name of Rockfield living up to its name!

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Catherine Fookes MP, Cllr Sara Burch; MCC Cabinet Member for Rural Affairs, Housing & Tourism and Cllr Angela Sandles; Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, Councillor John Crook and Councillor Angela Sandals as well as Monmouthshire Housing Association for a site tour of Rockfield.

Recent construction works on site have involved:
Rock breaking and removal works in preparation for the connection to the off-site drainage
The foul pumping station excavation (7m deep) is nearly complete, with most rock already removed.
Brickwork is nearly finished on plots 115, 116, 117, and 120, with first render expected by the end of the week.
Windows and doors are being installed on plots 96-100, followed by screeding and stairs scheduled at the end of the week.
The Roofing, Carpentry, Plastering and M&E teams are all progressing well.

This project will deliver 32 energy-efficient, affordable homes, in collaboration with Monmouthshire Housing Association. The dwellings will feature a diverse mix of timber-framed houses, bungalows, and walk-up flats, all designed to achieve an EPC A rating.

We are making excellent progress on this project and appreciate everyone’s continued efforts.
