Description
We were appointed to be the main contractor on the design and build of 16 dwellings in the rural area of Hanley Swan.
Set within the Malvern Hills, an area known for it’s outstanding natural beauty; we worked with Signature Homes – Part of Citizen to bring affordable rural housing to the area. Starting as a greenfield site there were no incoming services. Following the careful consideration of the services design, air source heat pumps were installed as an alternative to gas boilers. This contributed to a high degree of renewable energy throughout the development.
The site comprises of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom properties with a mix of affordable rent, shared ownership and open market tenure. Several private sale homes benefit from a mix of single and double garaging. Throughout the build we worked closely with Signature Homes utilising their bronze, silver and gold internal specifications.
The development is accessed through the existing access road to Chapmans Orchard, a private road has been constructed to allow access to the new homes. To ensure that the storm outfall systems are supported an attenuation pond has been created.
We completed the development to the highest standard, within the contract programme and on budget. We are proud to have once again been able to work with Signature Homes – Part of Citizen to produce high quality homes.
