Description
We were appointed the main contractor on the development of six houses at Shard End Crescent. We worked with Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust to regenerate the area and provide much needed affordable housing.
Traditionally built houses replaced the existing block of flats, with a mix of two, three and four-bedrooms. The facades of the development comprised of red brick, grey roof tile, anthracite windows, fascia’s and canopies.
Each property benefited from a large rear garden with landscaping to include fruit trees, as well as sheds, water butts and rotary dryers.
As an initiative to support local community projects and improve the aesthetics of the neighbouring towns and villages we worked with the Jericho Foundation. We donated disused materials and skilled labour to help contribute to the development of local community initiatives.
We completed this project on programme, within budget and to the desired quality.
We believe this project showcases J. Harper & Sons (Leominster) Ltd.’s ability to deliver projects of high workmanship.
