New Homes Week

Last week was New Homes Week 🏠 a campaign launched by The Home Builders Federation to put a spotlight on the endless advantages of buying new.

A fluctuating market along with the cost-of-living crisis and a rise in energy bills is being addressed during this year’s New Homes Week. Here are some of the positives of modern houses vs older ones:

💰 On average, owners of new build houses are saving £2,600 per year in their energy costs
♻️ 84% of new build homes are rated A or B for energy efficiency. In contrast, less than 4% of older houses achieve the same grade
👏 New build home buyers are helping to reduce carbon emissions by more than 500,000 tonnes each year
🏡The average new build home emits a third of carbon of older properties, reducing emissions by 2.2 tonnes each year

Pair these figures with house builders’ commitments to supporting the government’s Net Zero ambitions and we can easily understand how new build homes have superior energy-efficiency performance, as well as offering buyers’ substantial value for money.
