Women In Construction Week

“There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish” – Michelle Obama

Women in Construction Week is dedicated to changing stereotypes that women face when it comes to careers by offering them new opportunities to look at; the construction industry has many places to advance and build a career regardless of gender.

This week was founded by the National Association of Women in Construction. It began in 1953 by a group of women to help create a support network for other women in the industry.

Although the stigma surrounding women working in construction has significantly reduced over the last 70 years, they still only make up around 16% of the industry, of which only 2% are skilled trades.

This week we are celebrating and recognising the women who make up the Harper Group team👷🏼‍♀️
